Davy's posts and progress.
I want to commend Davy on his post, "Dude, Where's My Prophet?" It made me think of some of the philosophy behind parapsychology, and paranormal phenomena. The myths of the past and the story itself make a labyrynthian process of trying to find out what is real, and what is not. George Hansen and others call this "liminality," a place between places, between realities, and boundaries. When we start to do research, we find more questions, and it becomes a maze of frustration. I have started writing several articles about MESA, and will try to post them at www.mesaproject.com, and here if I can complete them. One is about all of the sites MESA has been to, another is about children having imaginary friends.

- Thanks so much for the appreciative words, Tim. You really hit the target square with what I was trying to get at with my piece about Enoch. It is exactly those spaces between the familiar lines which we read, as much as (and maybe even more than) the words which are there, that matter. After all (to give one small example), why should we go on clinging to the erroneous idea that the 'fruit' in the Garden of Eden was an apple, when right there in Enoch it is specifically described as being like a tamarind?!!
'Liminality' is a great word to describe my favorite place! Websters defines it as "the condition of being on a threshold or at the beginning of a process". Which is also exactly what I describe in my "Where is the Frontier?" blog entry. It's so often the condition of paranormal research. Questions, as you say, lead to more questions. I'll be looking forward to any new MESA articles which you post. - Thanks Davy!
I always enjoy your articles. Always good stuff.
Tim
